Department Events
Performance Fusion
A festival of theatre and dance work by advanced students.
Performance Fusion usually features the annual one-act theatre festival at the beginning
of June and other events in May. See the Fall-Winter-Spring Season for dates.
International Performance Touring
Since 1990, CSUEB Theatre and Dance productions have toured to Cyprus, Slovakia,
Czech Republic, and Scotland.
Students prepare their work during the year and usually travel during the summer.
Students often pay the bulk of their own expenses for their travel, so we welcome
your support for these tours. Contact the department Chair.
Other schools and members of the University community and alumni often travel
with us. Your inquiries are welcome.

Theatre for Young Audiences
Each year our program produces two or more shows for children and families.
Fall - We produce a seasonal production in mid-December. The students stay on campus after finals
week for a weekend of performances open to the public and then a week of performances
for schools in our service area.
Spring - We produce plays based on popular stories and legends from cultures
around the world. Recent shows included: The Honorable Urashima Taro, The Raven
Tales, Wind in the Willows, Alice in Wonder, and Monkey Magic. School performances
typically begin in April and continue in May.
