Declared "radiant" by the Los Angeles Times and "glamorous and melting of voice" by the Wall Street Journal, Christine Abraham has performed a varied operatic and orchestral repertoire to esteemed artistic acclaim. On the concert platform, Abraham has appeared as featured soloist with the San Francisco Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra, Saint Louis Symphony, Dallas Symphony, Boston Baroque, Music of the Baroque, Toronto Consort, Bethlehem Bach Festival and the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra in works ranging from Monteverdi (with Dame Jane Glover conducting) to Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 (under the direction of Neemi Jarvi).

As an advocate of contemporary works, she has participated in a number of world premieres: David Carlson's Anna Karenina with Florida Grand Opera and Opera Theatre of Saint Louis (recorded for Signum Classics), Paul Moravec's Blizzard Voices with Opera Omaha, Steven Hartke's The Greater Good, or the Passion of Boule de Suif (recorded for the Naxos record label), Peter Lieberson's Ashoka's Dream with the Santa Fe Opera, Stephen Paulus' Woman at Ottowi Crossing with Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, and David Carlson's The Midnight Angel with Opera Theatre of Saint Louis and Glimmerglass Opera.

Most recently, Ms. Abraham returned to Lyric Opera of Kansas City to sing Donna Elvira in Don Giovani. Other career highlights include her Metropolitan Opera debut as Ida in Die Fledermaus, her debut with the Spoleto Festival USA as Stephano in Roméo et Juliette, appearing as Maffio Orsini in Lucrezia Borgia with Opera Boston, performing the roles of Cenerentola with Dallas Opera, Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia with Hawaii Opera Theater, Lazuli in Chabrier's L’Etoile and Minerva in Il ritorno d'Ulisse in Patria with Glimmerglass Opera, and Blanche in Dialogues des Carmelites with Palm Beach Opera. With New York City Opera she has sung Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Nicklausse and the Muse in Les Contes d'Hoffmann, Miss Jessel in Britten's Turn of the Screw, and the roles of Mahler, the Queen, and Sheherazade in the New York premiere of Tan Dun's Marco Polo.

Ms Abraham maintains a private teaching studio and serves on the faculties of Mills College, the University of California East Bay, and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She joined the CSU East Bay Music faculty in the fall of 2011.
