Audition for the Cal State East Bay Choirs!
All Majors Welcome! 

Auditions take place the week of September 22. 

To schedule an audition: Call the Music Department Office at (510) 885-3135 or show up to the first class meeting of the ensemble.

At the Audition (about 10 minutes) you will be asked to sing a solo selection with or without piano accompaniment. Pick a selection you know well and feel confident singing; any genre is acceptable (classical, opera, musical theatre, folk, hymn, church song, etc.).
After you sing your solo you will be asked to sing simple scales and do some sightreading. 
 
If you are admitted to the Oratorio Society at this point, you have completed your audition process!  The first rehearsal of the Oratorio Society is Monday 6 October, 7 p.m. - 9:50 p.m. in MB 1055.

If you are interested in being a member of the East Bay Singers, you have more to do in the audition process:
East Bay Singer Audition Rehearsals
Each interested singer will attend audition rehearsals fro the East Bay Singers on October 1 and 6 from 12 - 2 p.m.  The purpose of these rehearsals is to hear how each singer fits with other potentialmembers of the East Bay Singers.  Everyone will learn a choral selection that will become part of the East Bay Singers' repertoire.

Results of the East Bay Singers' Auditions will be posted by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7.  
Regular East Bay Singers rehearsals will begin October 8 at Noon.
