Career Options

Some INTS majors have specific career goals such as working in tourism, export-import, or journalism. Others are preparing for graduate school in international relations or management. Some INTS students already work for Silicon Valley companies and hope to move into their companies' international divisions. Some intend to volunteer with the Peace Corps or with a non-profit humanitarian organization.

International organizations (including nongovernmental organizations) are a growing career option. Foreign service or the diplomatic corps lure future statesmen. Other INTS majors expect to find unrelated jobs, then use their intercultural and language training to work with refugees or in the schools. Finally, there are the dreamers and the international travelers!
