Some of these students may wish to choose from among the new Options now available, such as Early Childhood Development or Women's Development, in which case the NEW course requirements above would apply.
It is important for all students to consult a Human Development faculty member who does advising in order to determine major requirements for graduation.
2. What courses do I need to complete for a Human Development Minor?
A Minor in Human Development requires the completion of 24 units of 3000 or 4000 level courses with the prefix HDEV.
3. How do I apply for graduation?
It is important to start the process of applying for graduation by no later than the second week of the quarter prior to the quarter in which you graduate. Pay the filing fee on MYCSUEASTBAY by clicking on "Apply for Graduation" (or you can pay in Warren Hall). Have a GE check done at the Undergraduate Advising Center in the Student Advising Hub building (or with any other counselor that you may have worked with, such as someone who works with PACE, Project IMPACT, Project EXCEL, EOP, SDRC, etc.) Also do a Major Check with the Human Development Department. If you have completed the requirements for a Minor, complete a Minor Check with your Minor Department.
4. What is a Major Check? How do I do a Major Check?
Before you can graduate with your bachelor's degree, you are required to complete a Major Check as official confirmation that you have completed the requirements of the Major Department. During the quarter prior to the quarter in which you graduate (or earlier), fill out the appropriate Major Check form (download below), then visit a Human Development faculty member who does advising. Bring a printed copy of the Major Check form and an electronic version (e.g. on flash memory or CD, or email a copy to yourself). Also bring unofficial copies of transcripts from all colleges attended. You may print out your CSUEB unofficial transcript through MYCSUEASTBAY.
