Writing Abstracts
All of my term paper assignments are preceded by abstracts. These are one page descriptions of initial readings for your term paper. Abstracts give me an opportunity to review your initial materials before they go into your papers. Only primary sources are to be used (do not use magazines, newspapers or undocumented material from the internet). I will review your abstracts for proper citation formats as well. The thesis and major findings of your readings will be also carefully reviewed.
There are several term paper formats. This document outlined for you precisely what I am looking for in a term paper. It is a "how to do" guide, provides helpful hints, and has a comprehensive rating sheet that I use to grade papers.
