Carlos Salomon's Bio

After studying at San Francisco State University and the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, Carlos Salomon received his Ph.D. in Latin American and Borderlands History at the University of New Mexico. His research specialties are borderlands history, indigenous culture in Latin America, and oral history. He is completing a biography titled California Son: the Life of Pío Pico. His new project focuses on the indigenismo movement of post revolutionary Mexico. He has recently initiated a student led research project involving the testimonials of Latin American immigrants to the Bay Area.
