Communication Scholarships
2011 - 2012
Five Scholarships are being offered by the department with the following
criteria:
• Must be enrolled as a full-time student (12 units)
• Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher

Karl F. Robinson Scholarship
• Outstanding Communication senior and/or Master of Arts candidate
• Show potential for excellence in scholarly achievement
• Demonstrate basis for need

John Gothberg Memorial Scholarship
• Upper division standing fall quarter
• Interest and ability in Media, including areas of instruction within the department, e.g., journalism, advertising, public
relations, broadcasting or photography

Mass Communication Alumni Scholarship
• Upper division standing fall quarter
• Interest and ability in Media, including areas of instruction within the department, e.g., journalism, advertising, public
relations, broadcasting or photography
*
Patricia Radin Scholarship
• Communication major
To apply: Complete departmental scholarship application form, available online at the
Communication Department website or in the department office ( MI 3011 ). Specific
individual scholarship criteria must be met. Send with an essay supporting your
application to the Department of Communication, Meiklejohn Hall Room 3011
