Communication Scholarships
2013 - 2014
Four Scholarships are being offered by the department.
Karl F. Robinson Scholarship - $300
• Communication Major: Public, Professional, Organizational Comm.
• GPA 3.0 or above
• Full Time Student
• Shows potential for excellence in scholarly achievement
• Demonstrated financial need.
• One-Page Essay describing career goals and your involvement in Communication Dept,
the University and/or community. Include how this scholarship will benefit you.
John Gothberg Memorial Scholarship - up to $2,000
• Journalism or Public Relations Option
• 3.0 GPA or above
• Junior or Senior Full Time Student
• One-Page Essay describing career goals and your involvement in Communication
Dept,
the University and/or community. Include how this scholarship will benefit you.
Persistence Scholarship - $5000.00
• Undergrad or Grad. Communication student enrolled full-time
• 2.0 GPA or above Undergraduate; 3.0 or above Graduate
• 250 word personal statement that explains how the student's persistence has enabled her
or him to continue in school despite personal challenges and obstacles. The statement should consider: Academic and professional dreams and goals; Family and work obligations; Personal characteristics that have helped the student persist in school; and Financial need.
Patricia Radin Memorial Scholarship - $300.00
• Communication Major
• Full Time Student
• 3.0 GPA
• One-Page Essay describing career goals and your involvement in Communication
Dept, the University and/or community. Include how this scholarship will benefit you.

individual scholarship criteria must be met. Send your application to the
