The Goals of the ACRC are to:

·  Investigate typical and atypical cognition in healthy young and old adults

·  Document effective techniques for screening and assessing cognitive and communicative abilities in healthy older adults and persons with dementia, with a focus on assessing spared and impaired abilities and documenting restorative potential

·  Design feasible and efficacious cognitive interventions for individuals with dementia

·  Contribute to evidence-based practice guidelines for the assessment and management of Alzheimer's disease and other dementias
