The Goals of the ACRC are to:

  • Investigate typical and atypical cognition in healthy young and old adults
  • Document effective techniques for screening and assessing cognitive and communicative abilities in healthy older adults and persons with dementia, with a focus on assessing spared and impaired abilities and documenting restorative potential
  • Design feasible and efficacious cognitive interventions for individuals with dementia
  • Contribute to evidence-based practice guidelines for the assessment and management of Alzheimer's disease and other dementias

    Everyday Technologies for Alzheimer Care (ETAC) initiative ($ 198,624).
  • A three-year study to investigate the efficacy of computer-based cognitive interventions for persons with Alzheimer’s disease. We are actively recruiting participants for this study at this time.
