The Kolibugan resulted from the intermingling of the indigenous Subanon populations with the Muslim populations in the coastal areas of Zamboanga. There are concentrations in Siocon (2040), Sirawai (1960), and Sibuco (1520) (NSO 1980). Generally the culture is lowland central Philippine.
