The Ikalahan live in mid-altitude tropical oak forests and practice a variant of the standard Cordillera culture, especially as regards the importance of pigs and meat sharing and the padit prestige feast. Taro is a preferred food. Rice is raised in low terraced fields and in valleys. An important basketry industry exists in Imugan and the Sta Fe area.
