The C. E. Smith Museum of Anthropology maintains artifactual collections and archival materials from 18 archaeological sites in the San Francisco Bay Area. Many of these sites were excavated between 1965 and the present by students and faculty of the Department of Anthropology; others were excavated by local cultural resource management firms and the materials are curated by our museum.
